New and Theologically Significant Book from Eerdmans: The Enduring Authority of the Christian Scriptures ed., D.A. Carson.

For an equally massive resource in defence of Biblical authority see:
Thy Word is Still Truth: Essential Writings on the Doctrine of Scripture from the Reformation to Today, ed., Peter Lillback & Richard Gaffin (Presbyterian & Reformed, 2013).
The two works nicely complement one another. If necessary, downgrade your smart phone and switch from bistro to mamak coffee shop to save money for these books.
DEAR DR. kAM-WENG, SHALOM:
I TRUST THAT SUFES AND GLAD SOUNDS AS WELL AS OTHER BOOK-ROOMS ARE ORDERING AND PROMOTING SUCH BOOKS, WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL IN COUNTERING OPPOSING FAITHS/ WORLD-VIEWS/ IDEOLOGIES. I WISH ALL CONCERNED CHURCH LEADERS WOULD RGE THEIR FLOCK TO READ MORE OF SUCH, AS IT IS A MATTER OF LIFE/ DEATH STRUGGLE FOR CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IN THE PRESENT TIME, MORE AND MORE INTENSIFIED. KEEP UP YOUR GOOD FIGHT. GOD ABIDES.
REV. TAN, KS
I was given the second of these books, Thy Word is Still Truth, and it is a veritable treasure chest! Of course the original Thy Word is Truth is still worth its weight in gold.
Warfield Inspiration and Authority of Scripture has always been my first choice, followed by E.J. Young Thy Word is Truth. John Frame 700 pages vol. The Doctrine of the Word of God is a worthy successor. Surprise – I read J.I. Packer, Fundamentalism and the Word of God (1958)once in a while to savor its sharp critique of the liberal understanding of the Bible and its lucid and closely reasoned defence of the inspired authority of Scripture.
